Double-Header Musical Extravaganza at Brightside Gallery, Sept. 20, 5 to 8 pm

Brightside Gallery, 170 Worth Street, Asheboro, NC, hosts its final "Front Porch Evening" of the season on September 20, 2019 from 5 to 8 p.m. with a double-header musical blow out on the front porch provided by Richard Johnson for the first half of the evening and RD&Co. for the second half of the evening! This talent-filled event is FREE and open to the public. Born in Asheboro during the generation of the music explosion, Richard Johnson has spent his life enjoying all styles of music and adding as many songs to his encyclopedic repertoire as possible. Working with groups like Ashegrove, Flight 19, The Goodtimers, Added Gravitas, and eclectic solo work, he continues to champion the art of song and its power to enrich our lives. Richard will play guitar and sing during this season finale. Ralph Davis is an Asheboro native who has been playing music since 1968. He's played in music groups and projects since about 1976 and has been doing local venues, mostly, and basically flying under the radar of the music scene in Randolph County. RD&Co. began about six years ago and Ralph has since added a lot of techie gadgets and devices to essentially emulate a whole group, in effect becoming a true one-man band. Just this summer, Ralph won second place in the Randolph’s Got Talent comptetition! Come out and enjoy a fantastic evening with these very talented local musicians on our front porch at the coolest corner in town!!!!
