lake_lucas.jpg Randolph County is located in the foothills of the Uwharrie Mountains providing excellent opportunities for hunting.  The Uwharries are stocked with pheasants and other game birds and offer a wide array of activities for the shooting enthusiast.  Hiking and mountain biking are also a popular activity in the Uwharries.

Golf is a major activity in North Carolina and Randolph County hosts eight courses and provides convenient and easy access to a large number and variety of courses within a 60 minute range. 

There are many opportunities for fishing in Randolph County at Lake Lucas, Deep River, Lake Reese and the many other streams and rivers.

For the sports fans, Randolph County is home to Caraway Speedway which is a NASCAR track with late model stock cars and trucks and the Asheboro Copperheads showcasing collegiate stars from across the country at McCrary Ballpark.
