Items that can be recycled: light bulbs, batteries, aerosole cans, pesticides, paints (oil based only), paint thinner
Other items:
* Old prescription drugs and over the counter medications, original containers — no questions asked.

Randolph County will hold a free Electronics & Rigid Plastic Recycling Saturday, April 23, from 8 a.m.-noon at The Randolph Mall, 345 Randolph, Asheboro, in the parking area near Dunham’s Sports. Items that can be recycled: CRT-tube TVs, projection screen TVs, flat panel TVs, antennas, cable boxes, satellite receivers, VCRs, DVD players, BluRay players and other electronics, including phones, computers, radios, fax machines and cameras. Other items: * Old prescription drugs and over the counter medications, original containers — no questions asked. * Rigid plastics, including coolers, flower pots, lawn furniture, etc. A shred truck will be on hand to securely destroy all forms of sensitive documents — tax forms, receipts, bank statements, etc. Sponsors include The Asheboro High School Air Force JROTC Cadet Group, The Randolph Mall, GEEP, Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, The Local Government Federal Credit Union, City of Asheboro, Randolph County, The Piedmont Triad Regional Water Authority, Randolph County Soil and Water Conservation District, Randolph County Cooperative Extension, City of Randleman, City of Archdale, Waste Management Corporation, North Carolina Zoo, Keep Randolph County Beautiful and Stormwater SMART.
