of Franklinville’s PHASE 2 of the
DEEP RIVER RAIL TRAIL!
When: 9 a.m. – Saturday – June 1, 2019
Where: Riverside Park (east end/shelter/swings) on Main Street (Hwy22) Franklinville, Randolph County
What:
• ¾-mile section of trail on an old rail bed paralleling the Deep River. Connects to Phase 1 to make a 3-mile round-trip hike. Forested trail, new trail surface.
• Visit the historic fish weir on the Deep River.
o (High water levels will hide weir)
• A short dedication/ribbon cutting with comments, then a group walk to the Hwy64 bridge.
