Cruising for the Claus

Cruising For The Claus Grounded Elegance Car Club presents the final Asheboro Cruising 2020 event of the season, co-hosted by Michael Allred and Mary Murkin, on November 28 from 8:00 p.m. until midnight. This final theme will be “Cruising for the Claus,” which refers to supporting our Randolph County Toys for Tots program. Grounded Elegance Car Club is asking participants to please consider donating new, unwrapped toys/gifts for children ranging in age from infant to thirteen years old. The donation station during the night of the cruise will be located in Northgate Commons. The cruising event takes place within a four mile stretch of Fayetteville Street in downtown Asheboro. The path runs back and forth from Northgate Commons on N. Fayetteville Street down to around McDowell Road on S. Fayetteville Street. This is an equal opportunity cruising event: If it’s got wheels, join in! To keep the fun rolling all evening long, WZOO-99.9 FM is the official radio station of these cruises. Tune in on November 28 between 8 p.m. and midnight to listen to Uncle Milty (aka Milton McDowell) spinning the best cruising tunes of all time, as well as providing many giveaways for listeners who call in to win prizes. There will be a winter break for four months, with the intention of starting the 2021 cruising season back up in April 2021. Stay tuned for more details.
