Cruising for a Cause
Cruising for a Cause—May 29, 2021 Cruising for a Cause, organized by Grounded Elegance Car Club (Michael Allred) and Brightside Gallery (Mary Murkin), will host the second cruising event of the season on May 29, 2021, from 8 p.m. to midnight. The theme of the evening will be “Taking it back to the 60’s!” Wear for your best 60’s garb and decorate your hotrods accordingly. We’ll be cruising up and down Fayetteville Street and listening to tunes provided by “Uncle Milty” on WZOO, 99.9 FM. Our cause for this month is to help the Boys and Girls Club of Randolph County. They are in great need of snack type food donations, i.e. gummys, juice boxes, Goldfish crackers, Nabs, cookies, etc, for their young members. There will also be a locked box for money donations that are offered during the course of the evening. The donation station for these items will be located in Northgate Commons parking lot (located at the north end of Fayetteville Street) and manned by Grounded Elegance. As always, these are equal opportunity cruising events. If it’s got wheels, come on out and join the fun! The more the merrier is the motto of the event organizers. For an evening of nostalgia and also making new memories, BE THERE OR BE SQUARE!
